Any problems towing a Jeep Wrangler behind a pickup?
The tow bar company says not to tow another vehicle behind a pickup. I assume this is because there is no weight on the pickup hitch from the tow bar and the Jeep weighs almost as much as the pickup. Would this cause serious handling or safety issues?
It certainly would cause safety issues. As you stated yourself, the Jeep weighs almost as much as the truck. So now you've doubled the weight of the moving mass, but only have the brakes for one vehicle. That's probably why the tow bar company is against it, not only to protect you, but themselves from a liability risk.
